Love- Giving @ LIF & ICC

Last September 24,2011 the Iligan Capitol College & Lyceum of Iligan Foundation in cooperation with Philippine South District Kiwanis International shares their love by giving goods, foods and used clothing to the fire victims of Mahayahay Iligan City last September 18, 2011. The said activity were headed by our school directors: Dr. Milagros J. Yanong & Dr. Romeo M. Daligdig.. The dean of student affairs of ICC Mr. Vincent AraƱa and Mr. Sotero Q. Trinidad Past District Governor Philippine South District Kiwanis International

Det Norske Veritas (DNV) Visits LIF

           Det Norske Veritas (DNV) evaluator Mr.Alexander Javier visited  the Lyceum of  Iligan Foundation last September 8-9 , 2011 to evaluate  the College of Maritime Education in applying for DNV accreditation. This accreditation would  help the Maritime Education in  LIF to  maintain the quality of education , training and globally competitive. .
        DNV is a global provider of services for managing risk, with safeguarding life, property and the environment as its purpose. Organised as an independent, autonomous foundation, DNV balances the needs   of business and society, based on its independence and integrity.Established in 1864,  the company has a global presence with a network of 300 offices in 100 countries, and is headquartered in Oslo, Norway.The ship classification system offered by DNV (Det Norske Veritas) is designed to safeguard life and property in maritime environments. Obtaining DNV Type Approval entails verification of a set of requirements during the design, construction, and operation of devices used on ships and offshore units. As one of the world's leading classification societies, 
        DNV certification is recognized globally as an indication that a product is fit for use in different well-defined classes of marine environment..
         On the 2nd day of evaluation, Mr. Javier announced that the Maritime Education in LIF had passed the evaluation inspection in all aspects. Once again, it was a very big achievement done by the administration, faculty and staff to maintain the quality of education in Maritime Transportation.
